The South Korean President, Prime Minister, and national parliamentary members got a wake up call when their push for passage of the US - South Korean Free Trade Agreement ("FTA") failed in this session of the US Congress. Animal advocates had lobbied the US Congress to kill the FTA and all other financial and miltary support for South Korea, despite President Obama's support.
